Thanks for stopping by! How does one describe themselves? Well, I grew up an only child in Huron, Ohio. Life has been an interesting journey. I have degrees in business and theology and have worked in churches, social services, management, and in sales. My professional and personal lives have led me through a variety of adventures, experiences, and opportunities to learn, grow, and help others.
Several years ago, I developed a Life Theme: “Building authentic relationships and bringing healing into the world.” My life is an ongoing pursuit of this mission. Some days I get it right; many days I fall short and keep moving forward.
I currently live in Cleveland with my partner and her teenage son. My son is in his early 20s and our relationship continues to evolve as he moves into adulthood. I have no living parents or grandparents, but do have a network of chosen family and friends.
My journey has included addressing childhood sexual trauma, unhealthy habits and patterns, and my shadow side. With the help of therapy, the Enneagram, spiritual direction, and a number of spiritual practices, I have found hope, healing, and renewal. This has enabled me to discover wholeness, live more authentically in relationship, accept and embrace my sexuality, and move forward with courage and vulnerability.
As time marches on, I realize there is more I don’t know than I do know. Life is a mixture of discovery, failure, learning, growth, and so much more. I get it wrong more often than I would like, but keep working to improve my ratio. The older I get, the more I learn that life is not about what you gain, but what you share. What I share here are glimpses at lessons learned along the way.
With kindness,
Jason
